Precision PDR LTD.
Red Deer's Paintless Dent Repair Specialists
Hail damage, door dings, and other vehicle dents — restored without paint, filler, or new panels.

At Precision PDR, we specialize in paintless dent repair (PDR). Whether your vehicle took a beating in one of our renowned Central Alberta hailstorms or picked up a door ding in the parking lot, we can restore it to pre-damage condition — faster, more affordably, and with less hassle than a traditional body shop.
We offer direct-to-insurance billing, so the process is as painless as possible from start to finish.
In order to be a full "paintless" repair, PDR works best when the paint is not broken, though some scuffing may be fine. This means it’s great for repairing dents on vehicle roofs, hoods, doors, side panels, trunks/hatches, etc.
Hail Damage
The most common application — PDR is the industry standard for hail dent removal
Door Dents & Creases
From parking lots, shopping carts, car doors, and more
Minor Collisions
Fender benders, or other small collisions with trees, fences, animals, etc.
Other damage
From stray pucks or balls, rocks, bikes, e-scooters, falling debris, etc.
What is Paintless Dent Repair (PDR)?
Paintless dent repair is a proven technique for removing dents from metal panels. Using specialized tools, a trained PDR technician carefully massages the metal back into its original shape from behind the panel — no filler, no sanding, no new panels, and no paint. This process is ideal for repairing vehicle dents, dings, and hail damage without disturbing factory finish.
How does PDR work?
A trained PDR technician accesses the back side of the damaged panel using rods, picks, and specialty tools. By applying carefully controlled pressure, they gradually work the metal back to its original contour. The result should be a seamless, invisible repair, preserving your factory panels and paint.
Paintless Dent Repair vs. Traditional Autobody repair
While both are perfectly valid solutions for fixing autobody damage, paintless dent repair is different from traditional autobody repair in several key ways:

Other Frequently Asked Questions
How much does PDR cost / what impacts the cost?

What kind of autobody damage is PDR not ideal for?
While these aren't always deal breakers, we can't promise perfect results with any of the following types of damage:
- Metal that has been stretched beyond repair (can’t “unstretch”)
- Plastic panels (harder to work with/control)
- Broken paint (dents can be fixed, but paint damage will remain)

Can I do paintless dent repair myself?
In short: Yes, but if it goes sideways, it can cost a lot more to fix a DIY gone wrong, compared to the original dent(s).
While "dent puller kits” and YouTube videos may sound like a good way to save some money, we don't really recommend trying this at home. Failed DIY attempts can make dents more complex and, in some cases, impossible to fix with PDR.
For instance, we had someone try fixing their own hail damage with a DIY dent repair kit. They eventually brought their vehicle to us, unhappy with their results. Unfortunately, their at-home efforts caused irreparable damage and we had to send them to an autobody shop for a full roof panel replacement. It ended up costing them thousands, roughly 4x more than if they had skipped the DIY and gone with professional PDR at the start.
